PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Embracing a growth mindset, I actively invest in my professional learning and development to stay at the forefront of innovative educational practices. Continuous engagement with online teaching communities and forums allows me to exchange ideas and best practices with educators globally. Collaborative lesson planning sessions with colleagues provide a platform for sharing innovative teaching strategies and refining instructional approaches.Participating in peer learning walks, where educators observe each other's classes, enriches my perspective and offers valuable insights for continuous improvement. Additionally, I have played a pivotal role in establishing a mentorship program, contributing to a culture of shared learning. Through this program, experienced educators guide and support those seeking to enhance their teaching practices, fostering a collaborative environment that benefits both mentors and mentees.I hold over 13 Cambridge Professional Development Certificates obtained through both online and physical workshops. Additionally, I possess an IB MYP Leading the Learning Certificate (CAT 1) and an IB MYP Maths Certificate (CAT 1). Currently, I am done with an IBEC Certificate in IBDP Mathematics at the University of Windsor in Canada-just waiting for my transcript. I have successfully completed all the course units. I am currently completing my CAT 2 certificates in IB MYP Leading learning and IB MYP mathematics respectively.
Professional development isn't confined to traditional workshops; I actively seek out diverse learning experiences. Workshops, conferences, and webinars provide opportunities to explore emerging trends, educational technologies, and effective pedagogical approaches. The insights gained from such experiences enrich my teaching philosophy and contribute to the dynamic, learner-centered environment I aim to cultivate. I HAVE ALSO TRAINED OTHER IB EDUCATORS AND I HOPE TO CONTINUE WITH THIS IN ORDER TO MAKE IMPROVEMENTS IN IB TEACHING AND LEARNING.
